They want people to purchase them because they are emotionally moved to do so as well as providing an automobile that is safe and environmentally friendly. ââ¬Å"Through our commitment to quality, constant innovation (par. 10).â⬠According to Toyoda, this is the ââ¬Å"DNAâ⬠of what Toyota is and what they are supposed to do. It means that they are always looking for ways to reinvent themselves so that they can provide vehicles that will respond to the needs of people in the future. ââ¬Å"Respect for the planet (par. 11).â⬠This statement is their commitment to taking the environment into consideration when they make automobiles. These eleven statements are at the heart of Toyotaââ¬â¢s strategic plan according to Toyoda (2011) and they are what they want to work with throughout the next several years.
